Howard Hodgkin

Hodgkin is painter and printmaker and his work is often associated with the term ‘abstract’. I was referred to this artist by a tutor and and I can really now see why, the contrast of ambiguous shapes and structural forms is the essence of both our works. Layers take form and blurred out points mix with textures. Hodgkin has also helped me to now go onto looking at more different proportions and colours.
